My expertise is the Construction industry.

I am a Doctor of Civil Engineering with an MBA in Civil Construction, a specialization in Project Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning. Back in Brazil, I worked as a Professional Architect for 8 years, designing and coordinating residential, commercial, and institutional projects. I consider myself passionate about the construction industry, its materials and management, always advocating for sustainable solutions, which has influenced my decision to also become a LEED Green Associate. I am currently an Assistant Teaching Professor at University of Washington Tacoma (UWT), and my research focuses on sustainable solutions, including pervious concrete, a permeable material that is mainly applied in outdoor pavements to prevent floods and help filter contaminants in stormwater runoff. I am also interested in using waste byproducts to manufacture pavements and other construction materials.
